From the moment you arrive in San Pedro until the time you depart our beautiful island, ​you never have to touch your luggage. Ramon’s Village Resort has been informed of your ​arrival schedule will pick you up by their complimentary shuttle service. Your luggage will ​be picked up at the same time and delivered to your room. Return transportation to the ​airport is also provided.

• The hotel is a six minute walk from the San Pedro Airport.

Beachfront Guest Suite

DESCRIPTION

This beachfront guest suite and mini suite are located on the second floor of a ​two-story, palm thatched cabana providing spectacular views of the Caribbean ​and the barrier reef from your private balcony. The exposed palm thatched roof ​within the room adds to the spaciousness of the unit and provides a true tropical ​feeling. Each beachfront mini suite has tile floors, sitting area, kitchenette, king ​bed and French doors opening out onto a private balcony. The Mini Suite ​features a King Bed which sleeps two people. The adjoining Guest Suite ​connects to provide a two-bedroom suite.

RAMON’S VILLAGE DIVERS:

Maintains a fleet of four skiffs ranging in size from twenty-eight feet to thirty-four feet. ​These boats are used for dives along the Belize Barrier Reef in the vicinity of Ambergris Caye ​and carry up to eight divers plus crew. The close proximity of the Barrier Reef, just over a ​quarter mile offshore, allows for the choice between thirty or forty named sites within a five ​to fifteen minute boat ride from the dock. Ramon’s Village Divers offer daily trips at 9:00am, ​11:30am and 2:00pm to dive sites along the Belize Barrier Reef.

Ambergris Caye:

• Ambergris Caye is Belize's largest island and most popular destination. It is 25 miles long ​and about a mile across at its widest points.
• Its main town, San Pedro, is located in the southern part of the island and contains the ​airport and the largest concentration of shops, hotels, and restaurants.
• The islands proximity to the Belize Barrier Reef , a UNESCO World Heritage Site, makes ​Ambergris Caye a top spot for diving, snorkeling and fishing.

Languages:

In Belize English is the official language, with Spanish the second most frequent and Creole ​(dialect) ever present. The Caribs speak Garifuna. On Ambergris Caye which is bilingual, Spanish ​and English (some Maya) are the most prevalent languages.

Currency: Belize Dollars (BZD)

• Exchange rate: 1 USD = 2 BZD
  
• You do not need to exchange your money.
• Local businesses accept U.S. currency and provide change in Belize currency.
• Unlike the US market, cash is still the standard form of payment in Belize. Hotels, many ​larger restaurants, supermarkets and bars accept credits cards for payment – generally for ​amounts over $20 BZD.
• VISA and Mastercard are generally preferred and at many places, the only cards taken.
• Bring smaller bills — it’s nice to have $1s and $5s for tipping and smaller things like ​beverages or snacks as soon as you get off the plane.
